Pertemps are currently recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join a leading manufacturing business based in Andover.

Responsibilities as an Assistant Financial Accountant

  • Processing sales invoices, credit notes and customer receipts on Sage 50.
  • Assisting with credit control management.
  • Matching and processing purchase invoices on Sage 50.
  • Assisting with administering and maintaining weekly clocking hours for payroll.
  • Administering and maintaining payroll for the weekly wages and monthly salaries.
  • Assisting with personnel records management, including contracts of employment.
  • Recording and maintaining Sage HR records.
  • Reconciling supplier statements against the purchase ledger.
  • Preparing and scheduling weekly supplier payments ready for BACS submission
  • Maintaining and reconciling banking facilities.
  • Answering telephone calls, redirecting, taking messages, and dealing with queries.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years finance experience
  • AAT Qualification or qualified by experience
  • Previous payroll experience is essential
  • Own transport due to rural location

The Assistant Financial Accountant Role

  • Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm
  • Salary negotiable depending on experience
  • 22 days annual leave, plus bank holidays. (Rising with length of service)
