An established global investment bank is seeking an experienced FX Algorithmic Execution Trader to join its London-based trading team. This role sits at the intersection of trading, technology, and client coverage, focusing on delivering high-quality execution solutions and building strong client relationships across the institutional FX landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Coverage
    • Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with institutional clients, acting as a trusted partner for FX algorithmic execution.
    • Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, and other internal stakeholders to grow the client franchise.
    • Share market insights, flow information, and trade ideas to support client engagement and revenue generation.
    • Provide consistent support to team members and ensure seamless communication across internal teams.
  • Execution & Product Scope
    • Price and execute client FX transactions in line with regulatory requirements, internal risk frameworks, and product governance standards.
    • Manage client orders, execution strategies, and associated risk within defined trading limits and policies.
    • Actively contribute to the enhancement of trading tools, execution algorithms, automation processes, and analytics capabilities.
    • Support business development initiatives and help drive adoption of electronic and algorithmic execution products.
  • Market & Knowledge Management
    • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of global FX markets, competitor offerings, and client activity.
    • Stay informed on market structure changes, regulatory developments, and emerging trends in electronic trading.
    • Contribute to internal knowledge‑sharing initiatives and continuous improvement of execution practices.
  • Risk Management
    • Monitor P&L, manage exposure, and ensure adherence to trading limits and risk frameworks.
    • Execute trades with a strong focus on market conduct, accuracy, and operational integrity.
    • Ensure all transactions are accurately captured and recorded in line with internal and regulatory standards.
    • Uphold the firm’s market reputation through disciplined risk management and professional conduct.
  • Governance & Conduct
    • Comply with all internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational risk standards.
    • Adhere to applicable conduct rules and business mandates relevant to Sales & Trading activities.
    • Identify, elevate, and manage any conduct, risk, or control issues in a timely manner.
    • Complete all mandatory training and maintain a high standard of regulatory awareness.

  • Proven experience in FX trading, ideally with exposure to algorithmic execution or electronic trading platforms.
