We are looking for a Technical Lead in London to join our Global Middle/Back Office Technology team. As part of this team you’ll work closely with Business, Operations, Compliance and various other teams for new projects and other MTB changes. In this role you will be leading the regulatory reporting function in EMEA. You will assess new business requests and lead the strategic Mifid Transaction Reporting Reengineering project. This involves analysing the current Mifid platform and designing a new system that aligns with our corporate architecture and is fit‑for‑purpose. You will collaborate with Business, Operations, Compliance and other IT teams (e.g. Front Office IT, Finance IT) to deliver on this green‑field opportunity.

Successful candidates will have a strong understanding of data modeling, hands‑on regulatory reporting experience and solid project management skills.

Key Areas of Responsibilities
  • Lead the Mifid Transaction Reporting Reengineering project, ensuring the design is sound, fit‑for‑purpose and aligns with global corporate architectural standards.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on project progress and manage expectations and requirement changes.
  • Stay current with EMEA business plans and understand the impact on regulatory reporting.
  • Sync regularly with global technology teams to ensure project design aligns with global standards.
  • Update global technology teams on EMEA regulatory changes and system impact.
  • Mentor junior team members, provide training and lead by example.
  • Collaborate with other project managers to plan required regulatory reporting changes.
  • Act as the local L3 support escalation point for EMEA regulatory reporting issues.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent field.
  • Minimum eight years of experience in Capital Markets regulatory reporting, post‑trade or trading.
  • Experience with reporting platforms such as Qlik, SmartBI or Crystal Report is crucial.
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate complex technical issues and explain business impact to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong desire to learn about Cash Equities business workflow and front‑to‑back system architecture.
  • Good soft skills, able to manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, Linux and scripting.
  • Good team player, capable of working under a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
