Senior Business Development Associate

Location: London

Job Type: Permanent, Full‑Time

A fast‑growing UK investment firm is looking to hire a Senior Business Development Associate to take ownership of a UK region and work closely with an experienced Internal BDM. The role acts as the bridge between BDA and Internal BDM, with a single‑region focus and progressive responsibility for activity, meeting quality, and early‑stage pipeline creation. It forms a structured pathway into the Internal BDM role, reducing ramp‑up time, strengthening regional outcomes, and supporting adviser engagement at a deeper and more strategic level.

Job Duties

  • Own and develop a dedicated UK territory, creating and executing a quarterly plan to drive regional growth
  • Segment and prioritise advisers and firms, focusing effort on high‑value opportunities
  • Partner closely with the Regional Business Development Manager to deliver a joint regional business plan
  • Execute structured outbound calling campaigns to engage advisers and generate new opportunities
  • Act as the first point of contact for inbound enquiries, delivering timely and high‑quality responses
  • Qualify and secure meetings for the Regional BDM, including pre‑call research, agenda setting, and follow‑up
  • Source, manage, and progress opportunities through the sales pipeline, supporting revenue and subscription outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date Salesforce records, supporting forecasting and pipeline reporting
  • Support the rollout of sales and marketing campaigns, capturing adviser feedback and market insights
  • Attend adviser and industry events and drive post‑event follow‑up to create new business opportunities

Additional Requirements

  • Strong sales and interpersonal skills with excellent relationship‑building ability.
  • High‑quality written English and professional communication standards.
  • Strong work ethic with flexibility, adaptability and a proactive mindset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • IT confident (Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom); Salesforce experience is advantageous.
  • Based within a commutable distance to London for regular office attendance.
  • Willing to travel to your region and attend adviser events when required.

The role is office based within Greater London with standard full‑time working hours, Monday to Friday.

Occasional travel within the United Kingdom may be necessary to meet client or business requirements.

The working environment is professional and fast‑paced, requiring adaptability and responsiveness to changing priorities.
