Responsibilities

  • Core Recruitment & Business Development
    • Win and fulfil executive search recruitment mandates for new and existing clients
    • Manage the full 360 search lifecycle
    • Work towards and exceed targets relating to billings from candidates placed
    • Use business development techniques to attract business from new and existing clients
    • Manage an overall yearly target
    • Execute business development utilising the firm's resource
    • Develop a trusted and professional brand as a go-to person internally and externally
    • Take full ownership and responsibility for the successful execution of assignments from end to end
  • Research Leadership & Innovation
    • Lead team members in research mapping, including macro analysis (companies and environments) and fundamental skills analysis
    • Evolve and shape the research process for future needs
    • Think strategically about research re-use to feed into the leadership team
    • Balance pursuing both "near field" targets (easy and timely opportunities) and "far field" ambitious targets
    • Be ambidextrous in switching between business development/exploratory mode and role acquisition/fulfilment
    • Maintain commercial awareness while pursuing long-term ambitions
    • Partner with other team members on roles (minimal solo work expected)
    • Participate in our measurement system tracking role attribution across 14 attributes
    • Be hyper-vigilant in predicting market shifts and opportunities in the coming months
  • Strategic Business Growth
    • Work closely with the Managing Director and other members of the leadership team to help formulate growth and strategically expand search function and other new business lines
    • Help formulate a market approach consistent with the firm's business development strategy
    • Set targets to generate income from existing, potential or new relationships
    • Contribute to research that can be bundled into marketable documents for direct sale to companies
    • Support partnerships with organisations like Financial Times, Ignites desk and CFA Society
    • Help elevate the company beyond "just a search firm" to become recognised as industry connectors, think tanks, and research providers
    • Organise and facilitate industry speaker events (budget approximately £1,500 per event)
  • Team Development & Mentorship
    • Work with researchers to help place roles and oversee process providing advice and guidance
    • Convey the company's aims, goals and values at all levels
    • Support junior team members to maximise their recruitment activity performance, improve service levels, and achieve their financial targets
    • Provide coaching and mentoring for more junior staff
    • Collaborate in a team-based partnership model, with minimal solo work
    • Support knowledge sharing and teaching as part of your role
    • Help develop team members to take on more responsibility over time
  • Industry Knowledge & Leadership
    • Maintain asset management knowledge and remain at the forefront of industry news and developments
    • Balance immediate role fulfillment with strategic thinking and market positioning
    • Contribute to the company's profile as an industry thought leader beyond traditional recruitment
    • Work with the leadership team to ensure we are always looking for the best way to find talent for Logan Sinclair
    • Act as head of office and proxy for the Managing Director in their absence
    • Review recruitment best practices to ensure efficiency and contribute to process/technology improvements

Requirements

  • Proven experience in your career of delivering mid and senior exclusive and retained searches
  • Proven asset management or finance experience
  • High level of self motivation and excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Highly organised with demonstrated ability to multi-task and dynamically prioritise, managing multiple search processes at one time
  • Ability to build and maintain professional relationships (both internally and externally)
