The Team
Technology & Business Enablement (T&BE) supports Citi's operational and growth objectives by providing technical solutions and infrastructure. T&BE manages technology, cybersecurity, and transaction processing, aiming to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient services. The Enterprise Data Office within T&BE oversees Citi's data strategy and standards, ensuring effective data management.
Role Overview
The T&BE Quality Assurance (QA) function, part of the T&BE COO organization, provides independent assessments of the effectiveness and quality of remediation efforts related to high severity issues and regulatory commitments globally. This senior role reports to the Data Quality Assurance Director, based in New York or London.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee QA activities to ensure timely and high-quality reviews, maintaining accurate documentation and workflow updates.
- Lead QA assessments to independently verify the design and effectiveness of remedial actions for high severity issues and regulatory comments.
- Support issue owners in effective and timely remediation of issues.
- Assist in defining corrective actions when new issues are identified.
- Monitor remediation progress and support issue validation for closure.
- Foster partnerships across functions to ensure accountability and effective remediation.
- Escalate concerns appropriately and contribute to senior management reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement in QA strategies, procedures, and coverage.
- Assist in resource and budget management for QA activities and mentor team members.
- Prepare weekly reports and review internal and external QA deliverables.
- Support ad-hoc projects and stakeholder communication across regions.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in risk, control, audit supervision, and quality assurance processes.
- Deep knowledge of data, technology processes, and associated risks.
- Experience with data remediation activities.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of risk management frameworks, controls, and governance.
- Experience working across organizational functions and implementing risk policies.
- Knowledge of banking regulations and supervisory expectations.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to engage senior management effectively.
Education
Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred.
