Team / Division Overview
The DWS Alternatives business includes Private Real Estate, Private Infrastructure, Alternative Credit, Liquid Real Assets (Real Estate/Infrastructure and Commodity Securities) and Sustainable Investments. The Alternatives Coverage team supports client relationships for the Alternatives platform, collaborating with Investment, Product and Global Client Coverage teams. The Real Estate division manages EUR 51 billion in AUM globally and EUR 23 billion in Europe, acquiring and managing investments on behalf of funds and separate accounts.
Role Details
As a Real Estate Business Development/Fundraising Manager you will be responsible for:
- Owning the delivery on the fundraise efforts globally for the EMEA Real Estate investment platform.
- Leading the coordination and development of fund marketing plans for Real Estate, working with Sales, Investments and Product divisions globally.
- Driving analysis and documentation for the sales strategy and capital raising across Real Estate, including fund marketing, SMAs and co-investment syndication.
- Developing strong productive relationships with internal distribution partners.
- Leading coordination for specialist investment content for RFP and DDQ activity for Real Estate.
- Collaborating with the broader DWS generalist sales team as the lead specialist sales support for Real Estate strategies.
- Working with Product Specialists, Research and Investment Managers to convert sales opportunities into AUM flows.
- Taking ownership of broader Investor Relations activities, including LP Advisory Committee meetings, LP engagement, Fund AGMs and annual Investor Conferences.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Sound knowledge/experience within the Real Estate investment industry, including valuations, underwriting and due diligence processes.
- Experience in institutional fundraising functions such as Investor Relations, Client Relationship Management and/or Investment Marketing.
- Experience contributing to specialist investment content for RFP and DDQ to support capital formation strategies.
- Strong networking skills and a proactive, collaborative or autonomous working style.
- Structured, project-management approach with strong analytical skills (Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Degree in a relevant financial field or equivalent industry experience.
