Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides everyday banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The bank's expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking. On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Project Manager - Corporate Affairs for a 3 month contract based in Edinburgh or London.
Responsibilities
- To support Corporate Affairs teams by bringing structure, clarity, and organisation to a high volume of activity.
- The role focuses on breaking down complex pieces of work, improving tracking and documentation, and helping teams work in a more consistent and effective way, rather than owning a single end-to-end project.
- Work with Corporate Affairs and franchise teams to bring structure to ongoing initiatives.
- Break down large, complex pieces of work into clear, manageable activities.
- Track progress across multiple workstreams and provide clear status updates.
- Put simple documentation and processes in place to improve visibility and control.
- Support stakeholders by making activity easier to understand and manage.
- Help uplift project ways of working within the team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Project Manager or project coordination role.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work confidently across multiple teams.
- Experience turning unstructured or complex work into clear, trackable plans.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to create clear documentation, updates, and simple processes.
- Comfortable working across multiple initiatives at the same time.
- Banking or financial services experience (preferred).
- Prior NatWest experience (highly advantageous).
