Cer Financial are working alongside a boutique accounting firm, based in West End. They are seeking a Private Client Tax Assistant Manager / Manager to work with them on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities
- Help manage a portfolio of 300+ private clients and report to Directors and Partners.
- Handle complex tax affairs for high-net-worth individuals, including non-UK domiciled / non-long-term resident clients.
- Oversee private client tax compliance processes and arising advisory with the support of the team.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues across business tax, audit, and accountancy teams.
- Provide both compliance and advisory services, ensuring a high standard of client service.
- Act as a key contact for client queries and relationships.
- Review self-assessment tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and trusts.
- Regularly liaise with HMRC and other third parties to manage clients’ tax affairs effectively.
- Require strong attention to detail, accuracy, communication skills, time management, and a proactive approach.
- Mentor, train, and support junior team members and trainees within a training-focused environment.
Qualifications
- Familiarity with CCH software.
- ATT / CTA or working towards either. Support for the completion of qualifications is provided.
- Understanding of UK personal taxes.
- Experience advising non-long-term residents, knowledge of trusts, inheritance tax, and probate is an advantage.
