Job Overview: Citi's Markets business is one of the world’s leading global franchises for sales and trading across fixed income, currencies, commodities, and equities. Within this, Citi’s Cash Equities platform operates across major financial centres globally, providing institutional clients with sophisticated market access through a combination of high‑touch coverage, programme trading, and advanced electronic execution capabilities. This Vice President role sits within Citi’s Cash Equities Execution team in London and is focused on the ownership, management, and strategic development of Citi’s electronic execution product suite and platform infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Own and drive the product strategy and roadmap for Citi’s cash equities electronic execution platform, ensuring alignment with business priorities and client demand.
- Partner with technology, quant research, and trading teams to coordinate production releases, manage go‑live processes for new client solutions, and troubleshoot platform issues.
- Oversee platform governance and regulatory compliance, ensuring all electronic trading products adhere to applicable obligations including MiFID II market access controls.
- Produce and present in‑depth analytics on product usage, client trading trends, execution performance, and revenue attribution.
- Drive cross‑functional initiatives, acting as business lead for technology projects and coordinating across trading desks.
What We Need From You:
- Demonstrated experience in a product management, execution advisory, or platform management capacity within a cash equities trading environment; typically 6‑10 years of relevant front‑office or closely adjacent experience.
- Deep domain expertise in equities electronic execution, including hands‑on familiarity with DMA products, execution algorithms, Smart Order Routing, dark pool access, and exchange co‑location infrastructure.
- Strong technical proficiency, with practical experience using Q/kdb+ and Python for trade data analysis.
- Thorough understanding of the EMEA regulatory landscape as it applies to electronic trading, specifically MiFID II requirements.
- Proven stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for both client‑facing and senior internal audiences.
- A quantitative undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline; CFA or equivalent professional qualification is advantageous but not essential.
