Our client, a highly regarded global equity asset manager, is looking to hire an experienced Performance Analyst to assist with calculating, maintaining, and manipulating performance and risk data for internal use and for clients, prospects, and third parties such as auditors and custodians.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Production cycle for investment performance and risk data for regular monthly/quarterly reporting, used both internally and externally.
  • Responding to ad hoc queries from internal departments such as Client Service, Client Operations and the Investment Division.
  • Quarterly update of returns for marketing materials.
  • Production of composites.
  • Data input into various systems including BiSam BOne, Coric, Factset PA3, and databases.
  • Data extraction and review.
  • Reconciliation of custodian returns.
  • Involved in annual GIPS verification data collection.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with GIPS for all composites, including the annual verification by independent third parties.
  • Validation of underlying calculation methodologies of investment performance and risk data to meet industry standards.

Background & Experience

  • Circa 3-6 years previous experience within a Performance function of an Asset manager.
  • CIPM qualification preferred (or equivalent).
  • Experience with Factset, BiSam B1, or equivalent performance systems.
  • Operations experience: SimCorp Dimension, settlements, cash/stock reconciliations.
  • Understanding of data flows.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical, numeracy, and organisational skills.
  • Good knowledge of database/software used in the calculation of investment performance.
