We are seeking an Operations BA to provide subject matter expertise and knowledge on Operations processes and systems and work across complex projects for Operations stakeholders, ensuring a seamless understanding and management of project requirements. The BA will need to be able to map data between systems and solve data modelling problems; the ideal candidate should be very comfortable with learning system functions quickly to help design workflows.
Main Responsibilities- Performing requirements gathering and compiling formal Business Requirements, Functional Specification, and Technical Design overview documents.
- Gaining approvals for documentation related to projects.
- Engaging in the Project Development Lifecycle.
- Proposing solutions to business users.
- Formulating testing approaches and compiling test plans and test cases.
- Conducting system integration testing and supporting business users with user acceptance testing.
- Compiling and presenting test results.
- Completing project/workstream status reports.
- Ensuring all project documents are complete, current, and appropriately stored.
- Escalating issues/risks to project/line management.
- Providing subject matter expertise to support TEC initiatives.
- Promoting a dynamic, delivery-driven culture.
- Complying with relevant security and operations procedures.
- Building relationships across the bank to strengthen collaboration.
- Business analysis experience in a top-tier bank or consultancy.
- Understanding of the project life cycle with experience in compiling proposal, scope, requirements, and testing documents.
- Exposure to project delivery lifecycles including Waterfall and Agile.
- Experience with applications like Gloss, Swift Gateway, Murex, Bloomberg, Apex & Middleware.
- Product knowledge in Bonds, Derivatives, Securities Financing, FX, and Loans/Deposits.
- Understanding of Corporate Actions and core banking functions.
- Experience with data modeling and data mapping.
- SQL skills to query and examine data.
- Ability to learn new systems quickly for workflow designs.
