About the role: Are you ready to set the vision and strategy for building scalable, secure, and resilient platforms that power global LSEG Risk Intelligence products? We’re looking for a Principal/Senior Lead DevOps Engineer to define release architecture, influence technology direction, and lead transformational initiatives across our cloud-native infrastructure.
What You’ll Drive & Deliver
- Own the release & deployment architecture and roadmap for cloud-native infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and resilience.
- Design and implement enterprise-grade automation frameworks using Terraform, CloudFormation, and GitLab workflows.
- Set standards for CI/CD pipelines across multiple teams, driving best practices for secure and rapid delivery.
- Lead Kubernetes platform strategy (Amazon EKS, Istio Service Mesh) for service-oriented architectures and multi-region deployments.
- Champion Site Reliability Engineering principles, defining observability, reliability, and incident response strategies.
- Influence technology adoption, evaluating emerging tools and practices to enhance developer experience and operational excellence.
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads, fostering a culture of innovation, automation, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align infrastructure strategy with business objectives and product roadmaps.
Your Tech Arsenal
We’re looking for someone with deep technical expertise and strategic vision in:
- Cloud platforms: AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, CloudFront, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.)
- Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation
- Container orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS), Istio Service Mesh
- CI/CD tooling: GitLab CI, Jenkins, Bitbucket
- Scripting & automation: Bash/Shell, Python
- Security & compliance: IAM, KMS, encryption, DevSecOps practices
- Monitoring & observability: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar
- Agile & DevOps culture: GitOps, SRE principles, Agile methodologies
What You Bring
- 8+ years in DevOps or platform engineering, with 3+ years in senior leadership or principal-level roles.
- Proven experience architecting and operating cloud-native platforms at enterprise scale.
- Ability to influence technology strategy and drive adoption across multiple teams.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A passion for innovation, automation, and developer enablement.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
