Markets Operations Belfast Overview
Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders including Front Office Sales and Trading Desks, Compliance, Legal, Finance and HR; alongside significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience. Role Overview
The overall objective of this role is to assist in the prompt payment of transactions and the investigation of any issues that may arise. This involves working with data, investigating, and resolving problems and communicating with colleagues to complete transactions. Working within a fast‑paced, operational environment means that your activity really counts towards your team\’s ability to achieve their targets.
What You\’ll Do
- Check and verify information to ensure accuracy of booking requests
- Generate and match transactions under general supervision
- Direct transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on solutions
- Support the preparation and submission of internal and external regulatory reports
- Perform multiple transactions of moderate complexity
- Interpret data and apply analytical thinking and knowledge of data analysis
- Identify policy gaps and make suggestions to support the streamlining of related work processes
- Effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders, exchanging potentially complex/sensitive information to progress work and resolve issues
What We’ll Need From You
- Evidence of ability to manage multiple tasks and work towards deadlines
- Ability to perform a range of tasks/projects
- Comfortable working in a team environment and taking initiative in recommending improvements to existing processes
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word)
- Self‑reliant, good problem‑solver, and results‑oriented
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to partner with other teams to provide innovative solutions
- Ability to effectively prioritise
