Job Purpose
The role holder will support a pipeline of schemes transitioning to Buy‑Out. This includes engagement with potential prospects via Employee Benefits Consultants, supporting Transition Consultants in transferring the portfolio to Canada Life and migrating the data to our systems. The role will maintain relationships with external parties across the industry, seek market feedback, and provide recommendations to improve outcomes for our members.
Key Accountabilities
- Support a portfolio of pension risk transfer transactions transitioning from an initial engagement to onboarding, working with Transition Consultants and Employee Benefits Consultants/Trustees throughout the end‑to‑end process.
- Facilitate the writing of good quality business to achieve or exceed agreed standards within SLA and client expectations, using knowledge of Bulk Annuities to support Canada Life as a provider.
- Collaborate with Pricing, Legal, Finance and Operational teams to ensure contracts are correctly administered and benefits are understood, onboarded to Aptia systems and meet operational requirements.
- Assist with project management of the portfolio transition to Canada Life, working closely with Operational teams to transfer work.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with Employee Benefit Consultants throughout the transition to Buy‑Out, conducting regular telephone calls and face‑to‑face meetings with Trustees and Corporate Clients.
- Be proactive in enhancing the process and supporting the administration of schemes during transition, including reviewing benefit specifications and reconciling payroll to meet contractual obligations.
- Contribute to ensuring business is managed throughout the end‑to‑end process to exceed SLA and client expectations, developing relationships with internal departments (Marketing, Sales Support, Compliance, Pricing, Aptia and Operations).
- Represent the company in customer‑facing meetings, including face‑to‑face meetings with senior leadership, preparing and presenting content at Trustee meetings.
- Proactively seek market feedback, assess changes, and communicate recommendations to senior leadership to enhance our proposition in the de‑risking marketplace.
