We are seeking a highly motivated Trading Analyst to join a dynamic product trading team based in London. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with traders in a fast‐paced, commercial environment, supporting physical and derivatives trading activities across refined products, with LPG exposure considered an advantage.

The successful candidate will provide analytical and operational support to traders and managers, ensuring accurate trade booking, exposure monitoring, and P&L reporting. You will analyse market data, perform arbitrage and crack spread calculations, track cargo movements, and maintain market and shipping dashboards. The role also involves preparing daily and weekly reports, delivering internal presentations, and contributing to ad‐hoc research projects that support trading decisions.

You will liaise regularly with middle office, shipping, operations, contracts, and international trading desks, helping to ensure smooth execution across the trade lifecycle. Attention to detail, strong numerical skills, and the ability to work proactively under time pressure are essential.

Key requirements include:

  • A degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. engineering, mathematics, economics, finance)
  • Prior experience in oil or products trading/analysis
  • Strong understanding of oil products (LPG knowledge advantageous)
  • Advanced Excel skills (VBA essential; Python/SQL beneficial)
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Genuine interest in energy markets and trading
