We are seeking a highly skilled, detail‑oriented IT Support Analyst to join our UK Technology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating UK‑specific enhancements to our trading platform—adapted from our Asia‑based/US global solution—by performing comprehensive front‑to‑back testing, tracing order flows across multiple systems, and ensuring data integrity through reconciliation checks. This role is integral to supporting UK Trading operations and project‑specific requirements.
Key Areas Of Responsibilities
- Design, prepare, and execute end‑to‑end test scenarios covering Front Office trading platforms, trading engines, Middle Office systems, and Back Office operations.
- Trace the full lifecycle of trade/order flow through multiple integrated systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity at every stage.
- Perform integration testing with Head Office back‑office teams, as well as UK‑specific environments.
- Validate message flows across multiple FIX sessions, verifying correct data transformation and routing.
- Perform reconciliation testing between front‑end trading records, middle office positions, back office booking, and external data sources.
- Work closely with UK developers, business analysts, and operations teams to understand platform changes, requirements, and testing scope.
- Validate system changes against functional specifications and regulatory/business requirements.
- Identify defects, document clearly reproducible steps, and work collaboratively with development teams to resolve issues.
- Maintain test artefacts, scripts, and results for audit/regulatory purposes.
- Test UK‑specific projects, including configuration changes, new functionality, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Work across Linux and Windows environments, interacting directly with Oracle databases for test preparation, validation, and data analysis.
- Assist in automation strategies for repetitive test scenarios where possible, especially for regression suites.
- Support release cycles with smoke testing, regression testing, and go‑live verification.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Data Science or related field preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working on a trading desk; supporting OMS/EMS systems. Experience working on FIX systems.
- Proven experience in end‑to‑end testing for trading/investment banking/financial services environments.
- Strong understanding of trade life‑cycle management—from Front Office to Back Office settlement.
- Hands‑on experience with FIX protocol message structures and workflow validation.
- Experience with trade & position reconciliation processes.
- Technical proficiency with Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Background with test automation frameworks, scripting languages, and tools such as Python, Shell scripting, or similar.
- Strong SQL skills for Oracle database querying and data analysis.
- Familiarity with integration testing and working with geographically distributed teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem‑solving.
- Strong communication skills for liaising between technology and business teams.
- Experience with algo trading platforms and low‑latency trading systems.
- Knowledge of UK‑specific regulatory requirements in financial markets.
- Exposure to middleware messaging, market data feeds, and post‑trade processing tools.
- Previous work on platforms adapted from global solutions to regional specifics.
- Excellent command of English—verbal and written.
