Responsibilities:
- Sitting centrally within the core development team and using a sophisticated, diverse technology stack, you will work on a variety of infrastructure and applications written in Python and Rust across multiple functional areas.
- You will also mentor junior talent, with a view to growing the team around you in the future.
- This role would suit someone who enjoys co‑ordinating critical projects, sharing knowledge, and solving difficult technical problems.
Requirements:
- Minimum 4+ years' hands‑on Python development experience
- Previous experience mentoring or in tech leadership
- Proponent of best coding practices, with solid understanding of data architecture & software design
- Strong unit‑testing / test‑driven coding style
- Relational or columnar database knowledge
Desirable:
- Rust development experience
- Experience with messaging solutions, e.g. Kafka
