A leading international financial institution is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Risk Manager to join its Credit Risk function. This role sits at the heart of the credit decision‑making process, providing independent risk assessment, challenge, and oversight across a portfolio with a strong focus on Non‑Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI). You will play a key role in shaping credit decisions, influencing senior stakeholders, and ensuring robust risk management practices across a diverse and dynamic portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high‑quality credit evaluation reports covering transaction overviews, financial and non‑financial risk analysis, key risks, mitigants, and clear credit recommendations.
- Ensure all credit proposals are aligned with internal credit policies, risk appetite, and governance standards.
- Primarily support NBFI transactions, with exposure to other sectors as required.
- Provide effective challenge and guidance to Front Office proposals while maintaining independence within the credit process.
- Draft and present credit papers and recommendations to Credit Committee.
- Deliver timely, well‑structured risk analysis to senior stakeholders, including Head of Credit Risk and senior committees.
- Conduct post‑lending monitoring, including ongoing review of credit exposure and limits, monitoring borrower financial performance and industry trends, and ensuring compliance with covenants and conditions throughout the loan lifecycle.
- Perform credit reviews and industry research for new and existing clients (including annual reviews).
- Proactively monitor sector trends and emerging risks.
Skills & Experience
- 8‑10+ years’ experience in credit risk / credit analysis, with a strong focus on NBFI clients.
- Deep understanding of credit risk across sectors, geographies, and client types.
- Strong expertise in financial analysis, projections, and stress testing.
- Excellent knowledge of macroeconomic and industry dynamics.
- Proven ability to challenge stakeholders and influence decision‑making.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills.
- Collaborative approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
