We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support the implementation and optimisation of T+1 settlement processes within an Investment Bank. This is a key role working at the intersection of the business, operations, and technology to ensure a smooth transition to accelerated settlement cycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyse, and document business requirements related to T+1 settlement initiatives
  • Collaborate with front office, operations, technology, and external stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Map current (T+2) vs future (T+1) state processes and identify gaps, risks, and dependencies
  • Support the design and implementation of process improvements to meet T+1 deadlines
  • Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and working groups
  • Produce clear documentation including BRDs, functional specs, and process flows
  • Assist with testing (UAT), defect management, and implementation support
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with settlement requirements

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services
  • Strong understanding of post-trade processes, including settlements, clearing, and reconciliations
  • Experience working on T+1 settlement initiatives (highly desirable)
  • Experience with SQL required
  • Knowledge of equity, fixed income, or derivatives markets
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with process mapping tools and methodologies
  • Familiarity with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery frameworks
