A London-based Hedge Fund is seeking a Senior Associate within Investor Relations to join its team. The firm manages a range of absolute-return strategies and is looking for an IR professional who can take meaningful ownership of the investor relations function while supporting ongoing fundraising and business development activity.
The ideal candidate will bring approximately 6 years of experience in investor relations, preferably within a hedge fund or alternative asset management environment, and will have a strong understanding of the full investor lifecycle.
Responsibilities- Act as a primary point of contact for existing investors, ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality communication.
- Manage and enhance the investor experience across reporting cycles, including quarterly letters, data requests, due diligence questionnaires, and ad-hoc analyses.
- Maintain detailed investor records and ensure CRM accuracy.
- Support the preparation and delivery of fund updates, portfolio commentary, and performance explanations.
- Partner closely with senior leadership to support business development initiatives.
- Prepare marketing collateral including pitch decks, product overviews, and strategy materials.
- Assist with targeting, mapping, and engagement tracking for prospective allocators.
- Provide analytical support to sales, including market research, investor segmentation, and pipeline reporting.
- Collaborate closely with portfolio management, risk, legal/compliance, and operations teams to gather data and ensure cohesive messaging across all external communications.
- Contribute to ongoing enhancement of IR processes, tools, and best practices.
- Approximately 6 years of investor relations experience, ideally within a hedge fund, multi-strategy platform, or alternative asset manager.
- Strong understanding of hedge fund structures, performance metrics, attribution, and investor reporting standards.
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of IR functions and operate with autonomy.
- High-quality written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to translate investment concepts into clear, audience-appropriate messaging.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to support sales and fundraising initiatives.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a lean team environment.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CAIA, CFA) are beneficial but not mandatory.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with IR and CRM systems preferred.
