We're partnering with a well-established, growing SME bank in the City of London that is looking to appoint a Relationship Manager within its Real Estate lending team, with a particular focus on buy-to-let and development finance. This role offers the opportunity to manage and grow a portfolio of property clients while gaining hands-on exposure to both investment and development transactions across the UK market.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and develop a portfolio of real estate clients, with a core focus on buy-to-let and property development lending
- Support the origination, structuring, and execution of new lending opportunities
- Assess development finance deals, including funding structures, exit strategies, and project viability
- Conduct credit analysis and work closely with credit teams to progress transactions
- Monitor existing facilities, ensuring covenant compliance and ongoing risk management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with borrowers, brokers, and internal stakeholders
Ideal background
- Experience in real estate lending, with exposure to buy-to-let and/or development finance
- Strong understanding of UK property markets, including investor and developer clients
- Ability to analyse credit risk and structure lending solutions
- Confident managing client relationships in a commercial banking environment
- Comfortable working in a collaborative SME bank setting
