The purpose of the role is to lead and coordinate the definition of business requirements for all strategic transformation and re‑platforming initiatives across the Equity Derivatives franchise. The role holder is the primary front‑to‑back point of contact between Equity Derivatives Trading, Structuring and Sales, Front Office Quantitative Research, Front Office IT and platform/product owners. They ensure that target state models and processes are aligned with the commercial strategy while reducing time to market for new products.
Responsibilities
- Strategic transformation and re‑platforming
- Own the business requirements definition for all strategic transformation and re‑platforming topics impacting Equity Derivatives (pricing/risk platforms, booking and lifecycle, data and reporting stacks).
- Lead front‑to‑back requirements gathering workshops with Trading, Structuring, Sales, Front Office Quants, Front Office IT and Product Owners.
- Develop and maintain consensus on target state and workflow for each major initiative.
- Prioritize and sequence requirements in partnership with Front Office Quants and IT.
- Ensure that re‑platforming initiatives address legacy pain points, technical debt, scalability, performance, MSS and Group standards.
- Front Office partnership (Trading, Structuring, Sales, Quants, FO IT)
- Work closely with traders and structurers to identify opportunities to improve pricing, risk management, lifecycle management and client experience.
- Partner with Front Office Quants to translate model and analytics requirements into detailed business and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with Front Office IT to ensure requirements are technically feasible and appropriately decomposed.
- Provide Product Owners with a clear articulation of business value, client impact and risk reduction for each requirement.
- Delivery, testing and change adoption
- Act as key business representative & SME for selected front‑to‑back platforms.
- Coordinate end‑to‑end testing and sign‑off.
- Track and communicate delivery status, risks and issues to senior stakeholders.
- Product and model enhancement
- Drive the design and implementation of new products and features with Equities quant teams.
- Support trading through risk management requirements covering hedging workflows, P&L explanation, capital/RWA impacts.
- Improve quantitative metrics for the desk (VaR, counterparty credit risk, FRTB metrics, reserve processes).
- Commercial impact and client value
- Generate incremental client revenues by ensuring platform and process changes enhance product set, pricing and risk management.
- Ensure client, sales and trading needs are reflected in business requirements.
- Risk and compliance management
- Ensure fair treatment of customers and adherence to risk policies.
- Follow Group’s Three Lines of Defence framework for operational and conduct risks.
- Embed internal control requirements into business requirements and solution design.
- Remediate audit findings and regulatory issues in a timely manner.

Certifications, Qualifications and Experience
- Strong experience in Equity Derivatives (Trading, Structuring, Quantitative Research or Product role) with involvement in strategic change or re‑platforming programmes.
- Proven track record of owning and formalizing business requirements for complex front‑to‑back system and process changes.
- Ability to work effectively with Front Office Quants, IT, Product Owners and support functions.
- Relevant academic background (quantitative discipline, engineering, computer science, finance) and/or professional qualifications.
