An exciting opportunity with one of Europe's biggest energy firms who have a rapidly expanding power and gas trading desk in London. The team operates across short-term GB power and gas markets (intraday and day-ahead) and is entering a new phase of growth as their asset portfolio scales significantly. As part of this expansion, they're looking to bring on two experienced Shift Traders to help strengthen their 24/7 trading capabilities.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 2-3+ years experience trading short term GB power and gas markets
- Solid understanding of short-term GB power and gas market operations, including intraday and day-ahead trading
- Experience with automation or algorithmic trading
- Experience doing BESS optimisation also highly valued
- Comfortable working collaboratively as part of a team
- Decisive under pressure, with excellent judgement in time-sensitive, high-stakes situations
- Resilient and adaptable, maintaining performance in a dynamic market environment
- Comfortable working shift rotations as part of a 24/7 trading team
