A leading investment manager is seeking an Operations Analyst with a strong background in investment operations on a permanent, full-time basis. The role is based in London and will support key operational functions as outlined below.
Responsibilities- Process investment transactions accurately and efficiently, including trade capture, confirmation, and settlement.
- Liaise with front office, dealers, custodians, and counterparties to process security settlements.
- Investigate and follow up on outstanding trade confirmations and failed trades.
- Perform daily reconciliations of investment records against custodian and counterparty statements, resolving discrepancies.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational risk.
- Ensure all transactions comply with relevant regulations and internal policies.
- Maintain and update internal and external systems with investment and product reference data.
- Support product lifecycle events such as onboarding of new funds, restructurings, and liquidations.
- Assist with testing and implementation of new systems and enhancements.
- Handle ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with portfolio managers, traders, custodians, and other departments.
- University degree (BA equivalent) and/or 2–5 years of relevant experience in Operations/Middle Office within the investment management industry.
- Strong understanding of financial instruments (fixed income, equities, FX, futures, swaps, etc.).
- Comprehensive trade settlements knowledge; experience with Omgeo CTM and Alert is an advantage.
- Process-oriented with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
