Overview
Sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities; Conducting diligence of investment opportunities through analysis of business models, performance and strategic plans; Structuring and executing deals; Implementing Value Creation Plans or projects in portfolio companies.
Duties and Responsibilities
- The Investment Associate will have the opportunity to grow into responsibilities across the entire investment lifecycle from sourcing to dealmaking to working directly with our portfolio companies, therefore building a valuable, well-rounded, skillset;
- Assist in building an investment thesis across our verticals;
- Assist in the sourcing of VC-style deals, frequently meeting with new companies;
- Perform quantitative (e.g., financial modelling, terminal value modelling, unit economics modelling) and qualitative research and analysis of private investment opportunities (VC and PE-style);
- Assist in the diligence of investment opportunities to ensure an attractive risk return profile;
- Participate in investment decision-making, both from a memo-writing perspective and as a thought partner in the decision-making process;
- Participate in presentations to the Investment Committee;
- Manage internal and external stakeholders and escalation of information and decisions.
Required Qualifications
- High intellectual standards and strong ethical and moral compass at all times;
- Bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (for example Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Finance, Economics);
- 2 to 6 years relevant work experience (e.g., top-tier management consulting, investment banking, private equity, venture capital);
- Strong computer skills required and full proficiency in Microsoft Excel including:
- Ability to create a working 3-statements financial model;
- Ability to create a simple leveraged buyout model, and sensitivities;
- Ability to create a unit economics model;
