I'm working with a leading financial markets infrastructure organisation to appoint a Head of Risk Governance, a senior leadership role with direct exposure to the Chief Risk Officer and Board. This is a high-impact position focused on shaping and embedding a robust enterprise risk management framework across a complex, regulated environment. You'll lead risk governance, reporting and coordination activities, ensuring risks are effectively identified, managed and communicated in line with regulatory expectations and risk appetite. As a senior leader within the second line of defence, you will play a key role in driving consistency, improving reporting quality and supporting the ongoing maturity of the risk function.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and enhance the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including risk appetite, policies and taxonomy.
- Lead risk reporting and MI, delivering clear, forward-looking insights to executive and Board forums.
- Design and oversee governance structures, including committees, escalation frameworks and decision-making processes.
- Manage end-to-end governance activities, including papers, minutes and action tracking.
- Act as an operational lead across the risk function, aligning priorities and driving delivery against strategy.
