Background

We are looking for an exceptional operational leader to head Jupiter Asset Management's combined Presentations & Design function. This is a leadership and management role for someone who thrives in high‑volume, high‑stakes environments and is energised by the challenge of running a complex delivery operation. The team operates at significant scale and pace, demanding relentless prioritisation, smart process design, and a highly engaged approach to team management. Approximately 70% of the team is based with an offshore outsourced provider in India, making offshore management and cross‑timezone coordination a core part of the role. The successful candidate will need to be brilliant at workload management, skilled at senior stakeholder engagement, and deeply experienced at managing outsourced delivery teams to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Workload & Capacity Management
    • Own and manage the full presentations pipeline, ensuring constant prioritisation, triage, and effective resource allocation across a high volume of concurrent requests.
    • Implement and maintain a rigorous workload management framework, tracking every active request, forecasting demand spikes, and making real‑time decisions on prioritisation and resource deployment.
    • Identify and eliminate time wastage across the team; maintain a zero‑tolerance approach to low‑value activity when the queue is under pressure.
    • Develop and manage a slide reuse library, actively identifying opportunities to repurpose existing content and reduce production time without compromising quality.
  • Team Leadership & Offshore Management
    • Lead a blended team where approximately 70% of capacity sits with an offshore outsourced provider in India, ensuring seamless day‑to‑day coordination, clear briefing standards, and consistent quality output.
    • Manage the offshore relationship with a hands‑on, operationally engaged approach: setting SLAs, conducting regular performance reviews, resolving blockers promptly, and continuously raising the bar.
    • Provide close day‑to‑day oversight and coaching to both in‑house and offshore team members, maintaining high standards and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
    • Act as coach rather than individual contributor; the value is in multiplying the team's output, not producing slides yourself.
  • Senior Stakeholder Management
    • Serve as the primary escalation point and trusted partner for senior stakeholders across Sales, Events, Performance, Investment Management, Compliance, and Marketing.
    • Manage expectations proactively, communicate clearly on capacity constraints, realistic turnaround times, and trade‑offs, with the confidence and gravitas to push back when necessary.
    • Build strong working relationships across the business so that stakeholders understand and work constructively within the team's processes.
    • Partner closely with Sales and Events teams to anticipate upcoming demand and plan resourcing accordingly.
  • Project & Delivery Management
    • Run the presentations function as a structured delivery operation, with clear intake processes, defined SLAs, transparent status reporting, and escalation protocols.
    • Coordinate complex, multi‑stakeholder decks that require input from Performance, Investment Managers, Compliance, and Sales simultaneously, ensuring nothing falls through the gaps.
    • Maintain a clear view of all work in flight at any given time; proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks before they become delivery failures.
  • Process Improvement & Operational Excellence
    • Continuously interrogate the end‑to‑end presentation production process, identifying inefficiencies, automating repetitive tasks, and standardising wherever possible.
    • Drive the adoption and optimisation of new technologies to automate recurring and cyclical decks, freeing up the team for higher‑value bespoke work.
    • Develop and enforce clear slide governance: what can be reused, what requires fresh production, and what requires compliance sign‑off.
  • Design Oversight & Brand Standards
    • Own the quality bar for all presentation output across both the Presentations and Design value streams ensuring brand consistency, visual clarity, and professional standards at scale.
    • Set and uphold design standards and templates; you do not need to be the designer in the room, but you must be able to recognise and enforce excellent work.
  • Compliance & Data Integrity
    • Ensure all presentations are underpinned by accurate, up‑to‑date fund performance and market data, sourced from Jupiter‑approved platforms.
    • Maintain adherence to FCA Consumer Duty guidelines, anti‑greenwashing requirements, and internal compliance frameworks.
    • Establish and maintain audit trails ensuring transparency and accountability across all materials.

Desired Skills / Experience

  • Experience
    • 10+ years’ experience in a presentations, design, or content operations function within asset management. A strong understanding of the asset management environment, its products, stakeholders, and regulatory context, is essential.
    • Demonstrable experience managing high‑volume, high‑pressure delivery environments.
    • Proven track record managing offshore or nearshore outsourced teams, with hands‑on experience of day‑to‑day offshore coordination and performance management.
    • Strong project management background with experience running structured delivery operations across multiple concurrent workstreams.
    • Excellent senior stakeholder management skills, able to influence, challenge, and build trust with senior investment and sales professionals.
    • Experience managing or overseeing a Design function alongside a Presentations function is highly desirable.
  • Skills & Capabilities
    • Exceptional workload management and prioritisation skills, you are energised by complexity and skilled at bringing order to high‑volume environments.
    • Strong understanding of slide content reuse, template governance, and presentation production workflows.
    • Analytically minded, able to track team productivity, identify patterns in demand, and use data to inform resourcing decisions.
    • A natural coach: you develop people, set high standards, and hold the team accountable without needing to do the work yourself.
    • Good understanding of fund performance data, reporting standards, and regulatory constraints in asset management.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and Figma is an advantage.
