We are seeking a highly motivated candidate for the position of Rates Applications Support Senior Analyst within our global support team located on the London trading floor. The Fixed Income Rates eTrading production support team provides direct support to a diverse set of trading desks under the "Rates" banner. Your responsibilities will involve supporting the eTrading platform and tools that the front‑office business & traders need to facilitate its franchise within Citi, working closely with partners in Trading, Sales, Operations, Risk and Controls to operate stable platforms for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Manage our suite of core Rates (G10 and Local Markets) applications, working through problems and addressing user issues.
  • Drive engineering initiatives, improve process workflows, and eliminate toil through automation by building and implementing solutions.

Key Skills and Experience Required

  • Front Office Support: Proven experience providing comprehensive technical and business support directly to front‑office users within a financial institution, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial products such as Fixed Income/Rates and ensuring quick issue resolution.
  • Production Operations & Incident Management: Knowledge of procedures for maintaining and managing critical application systems, including daily checks, continuous monitoring, regional handovers, and adherence to SLAs. Strong ability in incident handling, triage, escalation, communication, troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands‑on technical experience in Linux environments, including system administration, bash scripting, and relational databases.
  • Problem Resolution: Ability to assess the risk and impact of production issues, define scope for complex problem resolution, and drive application enhancements for stability and efficiency.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Management: Liaise between users/traders, internal technology groups, and vendors. Effectively prioritise bug fixes and support tooling requirements, demonstrating sound communication and diplomacy.
  • Leadership & Documentation: Act as a Subject Matter Expert to senior stakeholders, coach junior analysts, and develop/maintain comprehensive technical support documentation and operating standards.

Beneficial / Nice to Have Skills and Experience

  • Ability to communicate appropriately to relevant stakeholders such as EU Govies, GILTS, Repo traders, etc.
  • Experience working with eTrading platforms and market connectivity using ION, as well as order management and lifecycle.
  • Understanding of Bonds, Swaps, Repo, trading, risk and pricing.
  • Python, Grafana, Linux, SQL, KDB knowledge.
  • Good understanding of incident management with ServiceNow and JIRA.
  • Ability to identify, implement, and drive the adoption of Generative AI solutions to optimise workflows and enhance team efficiency.
  • Trade floor support experience.
  • Foundational understanding of OpenTelemetry (OTEL) principles and components to aid in effective monitoring and troubleshooting of applications.

Education

  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience operating in a similar role.
