We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst / Technical Project Analyst to join an ongoing Trade & Transaction Reporting (T&TR) programme. The role combines core business analysis, regulatory reporting expertise, and project management responsibilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Technology, Compliance, and vendors, to deliver regulatory reporting solutions and ensure accurate trade flows, data enrichment, and reporting compliance across multiple jurisdictions. This is a hands-on, high-impact role within a collaborative delivery team, responsible for ensuring initiatives are well-defined, governed, and aligned with regulatory requirements and global programme objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end business analysis and project management activities across transaction reporting and regulatory change initiatives.
  • Review, analyze, and validate JIRA tasks and workflows related to repo and derivative trade flows, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Define and document business requirements, functional specifications, and target operating models aligned with programme objectives.
  • Conduct impact assessments of new or changing regulatory requirements (e.g., SFTR, EMIR, MiFID II, MAS, CFTC).
  • Collaborate with Technology, Compliance, and Operations teams to shape functional and technical solutions that meet both business and regulatory needs.
  • Track trade transformations through systems and middleware, ensuring accurate mapping, enrichment, and reporting.
  • Investigate and resolve trade flow exceptions, identifying root causes and proposing solutions.
  • Query databases and analyze trade data to support reporting, compliance, and operational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, track progress, and manage dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Support governance, steering committee reporting, and programme-level updates.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and stakeholder sign-offs.
  • Manage RAID logs, change requests, and ensure alignment with organisational change management standards.
  • Support UAT planning, execution, test validation, and defect triage.
  • Promote best practices in documentation, governance, and delivery, contributing to continuous improvement within the programme.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Project Analyst within regulatory reporting, transaction reporting, or capital markets operations.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory reporting frameworks and change delivery (e.g., SFTR, EMIR, MiFID II, MAS, CFTC).
  • Experience with trade flows, trade mapping, trade enrichment, and transaction reporting systems.
  • Demonstrable experience in requirements elicitation, process mapping, solution design, and functional specification development.
  • Experience tracking trade transformations through multiple systems, middleware, and reporting platforms.
  • Familiarity with operations, regulatory compliance, and control frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to query databases and interpret complex trade data.
  • Solid understanding of project delivery methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and governance frameworks.
  • Experience managing RAID items, status reporting, and project documentation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
  • Experience supporting testing, implementation, and post-go-live review activities.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, AgilePM, or BA certifications (BCS / IIBA) are advantageous.
