Responsibilities

  • Being the trade support lead in EMEA, collaborate with Public Markets/Investment Group to provide first in‑class trade support for all asset classes (Public Markets and Privates), including cash equities/cash bonds, OTC derivatives such as OTC equity/index options, total return swaps, FX/NDFs, IRS/CCS and private funds/direct investments.
  • Primary point of contact and escalation point for Portfolio Managers and Traders to manage and oversee ad‑hoc problems, to ensure accurate trade capture and trade support.
  • Lead and build out the asset servicing and lifecycle activities in the EMEA/US regions including mandatory/voluntary corporate actions for all asset classes stated above, such as stock splits, spin‑offs, tender offers, rights, option exercise/assignments, TRS swap resets.
  • Work closely with external Counterparties and internal stakeholders to manage and oversee the Collateral Management process for both Initial Margin and Variation Margin, and resolve discrepancies in margin differences whenever necessary.
  • Engaged on market developments in the industry and evaluate impact on existing Temasek processes (e.g., changes in post‑trade requirements for different markets, regulatory changes, settlement cycle changes, etc.).
  • Work with different stakeholders to lead the continuous improvements for existing operational tasks.
  • Lead ad hoc projects/initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • A degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science or other related fields.
  • 7‑10 years experience in handling both Derivatives and capital markets, preferred.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills with the ability to influence others at all levels of the organization and harness best practices to drive efficiencies in ways of working.
  • Strong MS Excel knowledge is a must, as is comfort with V‑lookups and Pivot tables.
  • VBA/Python skillset will be great to have.
  • In‑depth knowledge of post‑trade processes across EMEA/US markets.
  • Experience with SWIFT and SimCorp Dimension system will be good to have.
  • Entrepreneurial team manager in a dynamic, fast‑paced and growing environment.
  • Results‑orientated attitude with an attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong and effective communication skills, with ability to connect and work with multiple audiences (e.g. both internal and external stakeholders) and articulate points of view persuasively.
