A London-based, FCA-regulated independent asset management firm with approximately €500 million in assets under management is seeking a Junior Analyst to join its team. The firm focuses on European corporate credit, particularly in the areas of leveraged loans and convertible bonds.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will bring 1 to 3 years of experience in credit risk analysis or debt structuring, ideally within a credit fund or the leveraged finance division of a financial institution. A strong foundation in corporate credit structuring and an understanding of leveraged buyouts (LBOs) are essential. Fluency in both English and French is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Credit & Sector Analysis
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of corporate issuers through financial data analysis and industry research.
- Prepare internal credit assessments, including financial structure reviews and documentation analysis.
- Generate investment recommendations for internal review and participate in the credit approval process.
Portfolio Monitoring
- Analyse periodic financial reports of portfolio companies and update associated financial models.
- Advise on new investment opportunities in primary and secondary markets as well as potential exits from existing positions.
- Maintain a pipeline of potential investment opportunities for future consideration.
Risk and Client Support
- Assist with the preparation of monthly fund reporting and performance summaries.
- Support internal and external stakeholders by providing analysis and updates for board materials and marketing content.
- Develop and refine risk and liquidity analysis tools for internal risk oversight.
Debt Structuring (Direct Lending)
- Evaluate new corporate lending opportunities, including building and analysing financial models.
- Participate in due diligence and documentation processes, including the review of term sheets and legal agreements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in credit and business analysis, with a strong grasp of corporate finance and accounting principles.
- High-level Excel proficiency, including experience with macros and VBA.
Additional Information:
