In this role, you will act as a hands‑on developer building and supporting modern applications and integrations across our internal systems and external SaaS platforms. Working cross‑functionally with development, engineering & project teams, your primary focus will be developing application logic and enabling integration between systems using established programming languages (including PHP) and Azure PaaS services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain intranet applications using relevant web frameworks.
  • Provide user support and resolve application issues as required.
  • Design and implement secure API integrations and data flows (e.g. REST, GraphQL).
  • Contribute to integration design, selecting appropriate approaches (direct integration, API‑based, or event‑driven) based on business needs.
  • Troubleshoot, test, and maintain systems to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
  • Develop cloud‑based solutions using Azure PaaS services (e.g. App Services, Azure Functions).
  • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes, supporting the build, test, and release of applications within Azure environments.
  • Apply secure by design and secure coding practices across all solutions.
  • Produce and maintain clear technical documentation for APIs, integrations, and processes.

Qualifications

We're looking for a candidate with a degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field, alongside a strong understanding of cloud application design concepts, including Azure PaaS and serverless approaches. You will have strong expertise in PHP (v8+) and object‑oriented programming, along with hands‑on experience using at least one PHP framework such as Laravel, Symfony or Yii2. Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML and CSS is essential, as is experience working with relational databases and SQL. You should be confident using version control systems (ideally Git), familiar with Linux administration, and comfortable working with scripting languages such as Bash, Python or Perl.
