An well recognized London-based investment management firm is seeking an Equity Analyst to join its established and successful team. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly regarded investment team with a long track record of strong performance and industry recognition.

The role is designed as a true apprenticeship in equity investing. Analysts are hired not as support staff, but as future portfolio managers, with meaningful responsibility, deep exposure to a proprietary investment process, and a clear long-term development pathway.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with the Portfolio Managers within a small, highly focused team that has collaborated successfully for many years. The team applies a distinctive, IP-rich, process-driven investment approach that has been refined over nearly two decades. With an expanding investment remit, the team is now seeking exceptional analytical talent to help shape the next phase of its evolution, including the development of advanced analytics and quantitative tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investment Research & Process Development
    • Conduct quantitative and fundamental research across global equity markets
    • Build and maintain financial models, screens and proprietary datasets
    • Analyse company financials, accounting behaviour and quantitative signals
    • Help refine and extend the investment process, including the exploration of AI-driven tools
    • Support the day-to-day application of the investment process, including running screens and macro indicators
  • Portfolio Support & Decision-Making
    • Contribute to idea generation and rigorous internal debate
    • Support portfolio construction within defined risk parameters
    • Monitor market, macroeconomic and company-specific developments
    • Track performance and attribution data to inform process enhancements
  • Communication & Client Engagement
    • Present investment insights and process developments internally and externally
    • Help translate complex investment concepts into clear, compelling client communications
    • Contribute to client reports, marketing materials, webinars and presentations
    • Liaise with internal teams and external counterparties to support effective execution

Candidate Profile

  • Experience & Skills
    • 2–5 years’ experience in equity research, investment analysis, quantitative finance, accounting, consulting or a related field
    • Strong understanding of business models and financial statements
    • Comfortable working with data, models and analytical tools
    • Intellectual curiosity around how companies behave financially
    • Interest in systematic and quantitative investment approaches
    • Ability to communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing
