Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Insurance Regulatory Compliance to lead the development and oversight of insurance product filings across Accident & Health (A&H) and Property & Casualty (P&C) lines. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, supports product development initiatives, and manages a team of compliance professionals.
Position Summary:
Our client is seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Insurance Regulatory Compliance to lead the development and oversight of insurance product filings across Accident & Health (A&H) and Property & Casualty (P&C) lines. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations, supports product development initiatives, and manages a team of compliance professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team responsible for regulatory filings and compliance guidance.
- Oversee all product form and rate filings, both in-house and outsourced, and advise on filing strategy.
- Collaborate with regulators to achieve favorable filing outcomes.
- Serve as a key compliance partner to product development, implementation, and senior leadership.
- Monitor and communicate regulatory changes, ensuring timely implementation and adherence.
- Manage regulatory reporting, including mental health parity and managed care filings.
- Oversee renewal of Certificates of Authority for licensed insurance entities.
- Continuously evaluate industry trends and propose enhancements to the compliance program.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\’s degree required; relevant certifications preferred.
- Deep understanding of insurance products and regulatory frameworks across multiple lines.
- Expertise in A&H products (major medical, supplemental, stop loss, employer life); P&C experience preferred.
- Proficient in SERFF filing software and Office 365 tools.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
