The Role – Director of Data & Analytics
The Director of Data & Analytics is a senior leadership role responsible for both client delivery and practice development. As a Director of Data & Analytics, you will lead a team of data and analytics professionals, architect complex solutions, and work closely with clients to translate strategy into actionable data and analytics capabilities. This role combines strategic advisory, solution design, and hands‑on delivery with leadership of the Data & Analytics practice, making it ideal for a Director of Data & Analytics who thrives at the intersection of technology, business strategy, and team development.
Based in London, the Director of Data & Analytics will also contribute to the global leadership of the practice, helping shape its vision, methodologies, and thought leadership in modern data and analytics.
What You’ll Be Doing as a Director of Data & Analytics
- Scope, architect, and deliver a wide variety of data and analytics solutions for clients
- Lead and coach high‑performing teams, fostering career development and a strong human experience
- Develop the practice’s capabilities through training, hands‑on skill development, and mentoring
- Drive high‑quality delivery that is on time, on budget, and aligned with client outcomes
- Collaborate with other practice areas to deliver cross‑functional solutions
- Partner with client account teams to grow existing relationships and develop new ones
- Shape global Data & Analytics thought leadership through blogs, white papers, and podcasts
- Contribute to global initiatives on agile, cloud analytics, digital transformation, and modern data practices
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data strategy execution, including roadmap development, governance, team design, and literacy programs
- Design and implement modern analytics solutions, including cloud platforms, AI, predictive modelling, and cognitive tools
- Oversee structured and unstructured data management systems, including relational, columnar, Hadoop, and NoSQL platforms
- Implement modern data visualisation platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, or MicroStrategy
- Consult with clients to identify analytical opportunities, design solutions, and operationalise insights
- Develop strategies that support Customer Experience or similar analytical programs
- Ensure delivery quality while balancing strategic vision with practical implementation
Key Requirements
- Proven experience leading data and analytics teams in consulting or a mix of consulting/private sector roles
- Experience designing, developing and delivering complex data and analytical solutions
- Strong knowledge of modern analytics landscapes, including cloud platforms, AI and data governance
- Demonstrated ability to consult with clients and translate business challenges into actionable data solutions
- Experience in leadership, coaching and career development of data and analytics professionals
- A clear sense of professional purpose and commitment to continuous learning
- An undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university
