Our client, a leading UK cyber security organisation, is currently seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to work on critical National Security projects that help protect nations, governments and businesses against evolving digital threats and challenges in the most demanding environments.

The DevOps Engineer will have:

  • Experience with AWS cloud platforms
  • Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), or database systems
  • Strong programming experience in one or more of JavaScript, Java, .Net, or Python
  • Proven experience working within agile environments
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks
  • Understanding of common software design patterns and static code analysis tools

As a DevOps Engineer you will:

  • Collaboratively design and build Proof of Concept or Production systems that form part of properly engineered information or communications solutions
  • Utilise CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity and Bitbucket
  • Work with Version Control Systems including Git, Mercurial, and Perforce
  • Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks
  • Deploy and manage Cloud Computing infrastructure, particularly AWS and MS Azure
  • Work with containerisation technologies including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Have opportunities to mentor junior level engineers (for Senior)

The Package:

  • £50,000 - £70,000 base salary
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • Guaranteed Clearance Bonus
  • 25 days holiday with buy/sell and carry over options
  • Pension scheme

Applicants MUST have the unrestricted right to work in the UK and be eligible to undertake National Security Vetting (SC Clearance). Many roles require 5-10 years of continuous UK residency depending on the vetting level required.
