The Credit Trading team is seeking an experienced structured and derivative credit products trader to join its European platform, based in London or Paris. The successful candidate will contribute to P&L generation, balance sheet optimisation, and the development of innovative credit payoffs across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Trade, risk-manage, and develop a portfolio of structured credit and credit derivative products, such as:
- Credit-Linked Notes (CLNs)
- Index and bespoke tranches
- Synthetic CDOs
- Repacks
- Total Return Swaps (TRS) and other structured solutions
- Support and originate client-driven solutions, including flow structured notes and bespoke credit strategies.
- Monitor and reconcile daily P&L, ensuring transparency and consistency across regional trading books.
- Contribute to global coordination across Europe, the US, and Asia to ensure cohesive risk management and product strategy.
- Ensure trading activity complies with internal risk limits, regulatory frameworks, and control standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of experience within Structured Credit Trading or Credit Derivatives.
- Exposure to solutions-driven credit trading, rather than purely flow trading.
- Strong understanding of:
- Credit markets and spread dynamics
- Correlation and tranche risk
- Structured note mechanics and lifecycle management
- Proven ability to manage risk and P&L within a high-performing trading environment.
- Hands-on experience with pricing models, valuation methodologies, and structured product analytics.
- Excellent programming and analytical skills (e.g. Python, R, VBA, C++, Bloomberg).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with sales, structuring, quants, and risk teams.
