We are partnering with a leading global investment management firm seeking a Client Contracting Associate to join its Client Experience function. This role sits at the intersection of legal, commercial and client delivery teams, ensuring that contractual arrangements balance commercial objectives with appropriate risk management and fiduciary obligations. The successful candidate will work across a diverse institutional client base including sovereign wealth funds, central banks, pension funds and insurance companies, covering a broad range of investment strategies and products. This is a high-visibility role with significant cross-functional exposure and ownership.
The Opportunity:
- Drive the end-to-end contracting process from initial drafting through negotiation and execution
- Manage a defined client channel and oversee associated case allocation and complexity assessment
- Partner closely with Relationship Management, Legal, Compliance, Onboarding and Operations teams
- Ensure contracts appropriately reflect internal approvals and risk frameworks
- Manage client expectations throughout negotiation cycles
- Identify potential contractual risks and coordinate internal review and resolution
- Maintain accurate records of non-standard clauses and contractual documentation
- Ensure executed agreements are properly filed and distributed to relevant stakeholders
- Support sales teams with contractual documentation queries
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and client experience
Candidate Profile:
- 4–7 years’ relevant experience within investment management or financial services
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating sophisticated legal agreements
- A relevant legal qualification
- Strong understanding of asset management structures, fund types, products and regulatory frameworks
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience navigating complex internal approval processes
- Strong stakeholder management skills across internal and external partners
- Commercial judgment balanced with strong risk awareness
- Comfort working across multiple systems to manage the contract lifecycle
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
