Are you early in your Casualty claims career and looking to deepen your technical expertise within a respected London Market platform? An established global insurance group is hiring a Casualty Claims Handler into its Core Claims team in London. You’ll handle a varied portfolio across General Liability, Life Science and Environmental, with exposure to complex and high-value claims, large losses, and close collaboration with underwriting, reinsurance, actuarial and finance. This is a professional, collaborative environment where claims are central to the business. You’ll receive hands‑on support from experienced senior handlers, real responsibility over your own files, and encouragement toward CII qualifications and long‑term career development.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing, assessing and adjusting Casualty claims, ensuring accurate coverage analysis and reserving
- Proactively driving files forward with clear diarisation, documentation and regular updates
- Delivering fair, timely and high‑quality claims outcomes in line with Lloyd’s and internal standards
- Supporting senior handlers and claims management on complex or significant losses
- Maintaining strong communication with underwriting and management on material claims and emerging trends
- Issuing and contributing to large loss reporting as required
- Liaising with brokers, stakeholders and policyholders
- Assisting with reinsurance matters
- Attending market claims meetings where appropriate
- Ensuring compliance with Lloyd’s Minimum Standards, FCA/PRA requirements and TCF principles
Experience
- 2 years plus Casualty claims handling experience (London Market or specialty preferred)
- Solid liability and coverage knowledge
- Working knowledge of ECF2
- Strong organisation and stakeholder communication skills
- Motivation to continue developing technically
