To lead the centralised Facilities Management Function, providing strategic oversight and performance management of QBE's centrally administered broker facilities. The Facility Manager will drive growth, optimise outcomes, and ensure alignment with QBE's commercial objectives, acting as the primary point of contact for broker engagement and facility performance.
Your New Role
In this role, you will establish best-practice frameworks for governance, performance oversight and commercial optimisation of QBE's centrally administered facilities portfolio. As a data-driven leader, you will deliver high-quality insights to enable better trading behaviours and more informed decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the evaluation, acceptance and commercial structuring of new and renewal facility opportunities, ensuring alignment with QBE's strategy and growth objectives.
- Lead broker engagement, attending regular meetings to drive facility performance and surface actionable insights for distribution and underwriting teams.
- Manage and develop the Facilities Management Team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
- Deliver high-quality data and management information (MI) to Market Management and Underwriting teams, supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Oversee the standardisation of facility structures, coverage and contractual terms across broker partners.
- Drive commercial discipline by managing payments, commissions and expense planning, ensuring profitability and compliance.
- Optimise the facility portfolio by identifying growth opportunities and proactively managing underperforming facilities.
- Develop a response library to improve efficiency and consistency of responding to facility tenders.
- Ensure effective operational maintenance of facilities, including oversight of legal, compliance and payment processes.
About You
- Proven experience in facilities management, insurance distribution or a related commercial environment – ACII accreditation is preferable, not essential.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills, with experience engaging with brokers and internal partners.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage projects to successful outcomes.
- Knowledge of insurance market dynamics, facility structures, and commercial frameworks.
- High level of commercial acumen and understanding of financial performance metrics.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
