Our client is looking for a Pricing Lead to join their Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) team, based at their Head Office in Aylesbury. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of BPA transactions and play a key role in pricing strategy and delivery. You’ll be responsible for leading deals from initial triage through to execution, working closely with senior stakeholders and supporting the ongoing development of pricing models and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the pricing of BPA transactions end-to-end
- Review and validate DB pension scheme data and assumptions
- Oversee cashflow modelling and valuation outputs
- Deliver pricing analysis across Solvency II, UK GAAP and IFRS17
- Support member option quotes and post buy-in true‑up calculations
- Drive improvements and enhancements to pricing models
- Carry out experience analysis to inform assumptions
- Support and mentor junior team members
About You
You’ll ideally have:
- 4+ years’ experience within DB pensions (EBC, insurer or reinsurer BPA team)
- Be a qualified or nearly qualified actuary
- Strong experience in pension modelling and cashflow projections
- Good understanding of the UK BPA market
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Experience with buy‑ins, buy‑outs, longevity swaps or BPA pricing would be highly beneficial.
