We’re seeking an Assistant Manager to join Interpath’s Financial Restructuring & Special Situations Group (SSG). SSG supports Corporates, Lenders, Investors and Other Stakeholders with hands‑on, ‘top‑table’ advisory services in the highest profile stressed & distressed situations across Financial Restructuring mandates. The team works closely with clients to address complex challenges within a fast‑paced environment.

  • Lead Financial Advisory
  • Short‑term liquidity / crisis cash management
  • Business plan assessment, challenge and analysis
  • Independent Business Reviews (IBRs)
  • Identification and assessment of options
  • Internal and external stakeholder stabilisation and management
  • Contingency planning
  • Distressed asset M&A advice, including buy‑/sell‑side diligence

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the day‑to‑day execution of complex Financial Restructuring projects across a range of industries and sectors, both nationally and internationally.
  • Manage the client relationship throughout the project including leading negotiations and interaction with key stakeholders (management team, lenders, shareholders & other advisors).
  • Support the team to identify and develop business opportunities including the preparation and delivery of pitches and other marketing material.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with existing and new work providers (lenders, multipliers, shareholders), developing business opportunities for the firm.
  • Ensure effectively managed risks and issues, escalating where necessary.

Requirements

  • At least 3–4 years’ experience working within a credit‑focused role (Restructuring Services, Investment Banking, Credit Analyst or similar).
  • Experience delivering Financial Restructuring mandates including both creditor / company‑side mandates.
  • Strong leadership skills, taking responsibility for overall project delivery and delegating where necessary to deliver projects to tight deadlines, within budget and to a high‑quality standard.
  • Managing key stakeholder relationships (senior management teams, lenders and other senior stakeholders).
  • Relevant qualification (ACA, CA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent). Insolvency qualifications would also be beneficial but are not essential.
  • Strong understanding of the market and current developments.
