Citi is seeking an Officer within the Markets Operations organization supporting our Exchange Traded Derivatives and OTC Clearing business. The candidate will work in the EMEA Control and Balance Sheet Integrity team based in London. The role includes significant interface with the firm's business and finance partners, internal technology, regulatory compliance, and other Markets Operations teams. The candidate is expected to join the team that manages all day-to-day operations and controls associated with Cash and Trade reference data functions in support of NAM, EMEA and APAC regions. Additional responsibilities include joining projects and initiatives aligned to organizational priorities of process and platform simplification, service, robust control environment and people management. In the near term, the candidate will be heavily involved in business analysis, testing and migration support for a major platform replacement program expected to run until 2027.

Citi's Futures and Derivatives Clearing business consolidates Futures, OTC Derivatives and FX Prime Brokerage activity to provide clients with a comprehensive and consistent service experience. Citi Futures is one of the world's largest participants in exchange-traded derivative markets and has also established itself as a market leader in the evolving OTC Clearing world.
Responsibilities:- Join a team of 7 that supports day-to-day books and records reconciliation (using our vendor tool) to balance trades, positions and cash to clearing house balances.
- Role includes extensive exposure to business managers and product controllers overseeing financial statements and ledgers.
- Identify opportunities to improve controls and simplify processes and take ownership to effect change.
- Contribute to project initiatives relating to team to ensure resource management and execution of key deliverables.
- Adhere to all control, compliance and regulatory requirements impacting function.
- Exception reporting and appropriate escalation of issues to Senior Management.
- Prior relevant experience related to Futures Clearing and/or Markets Operations management.
- Deeply curious on the "why" behind the "what".
- Energetic with an appetite to continuously improve processes to drive better outcomes and lower risk.
- Experience with reconciliation, including change control, audit compliance, and integrity.
- Ability to communicate in a compelling manner with all levels of management and across functional areas - both written and oral.
- Ability to influence, create support and buy-in across a wide range of stakeholders, creating a strong network and relationships among peers, internal partners, external constituencies, senior decision makers and stakeholders.
- Logical, analytic and rationale thinker; strong data analytics capabilities are vital.
- Aptitude for assessing levels of risk and discernment to escalate items of potential concern while addressing remediation plans.
