Overview

The Assistant Superintendent will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the construction of high-density residential and mixed-use projects, reporting to the Project Superintendent and General Superintendent. The role involves overseeing specific trades and phases of work by subcontractors and punch carpenters.

Responsibilities

1. Supervise and direct Punch Carpenters and Laborers.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with building officials and inspectors; coordinate inspections and testing.
3. Identify project risks and advise the Project Superintendent on issues related to safety, subcontractors, site conditions, scheduling, change orders, and documentation.
4. Monitor work of trades and laborers, ensuring quality standards are met.
5. Notify the Project Superintendent of non-performing subcontractors.
6. Prepare punch lists and oversee their completion before inspections and acceptance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor\’s degree in construction management or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in multi-family construction industry.
