Your Role and Responsibilities
As a rotational Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, you will engage in diverse and enriching rotations across key specialties, including Acute Medicine, Critical Care, Haematology/Oncology, Paediatrics, Antimicrobial Stewardship, Neurology, and Cardiothoracics. Each rotation spans six months, offering you valuable exposure and experience in both clinical and dispensary settings. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Participating in rotational placements across various specialties.
- Contributing to clinical and dispensary commitments, as well as specialty projects and development work.
- Supporting and mentoring junior pharmacists, fostering their growth into Advanced Specialist Pharmacists (Band 8a) and other roles.
- Engaging in our Band 7 to 8a development pathway aligned with the national Core Advanced Pharmacist Curriculum.
- Teaching and mentoring pharmacy and medical students in collaboration with Keele University Pharmacy and Medical Schools.
