Job Summary
Are you a pharmacy technician or in the process of completing your course? NHS Jobs seeks to fill a vacant band 4 technician post. Current students (PTPT) are also encouraged to apply. Successful candidates awaiting registration will be initially appointed as band 3, with progression to band 4 upon registration with the GPhC.
Main Duties of the Job
- Dispensing activities, including final accuracy checks of pharmacist clinically screened prescriptions (ACT once qualified).
- Provide ward-based medicines optimization services.
- Supervise designated staff members.
- Assist with maintaining the Trust’s formulary and high-cost drugs recharges.
- Act as Practice or Educational Supervisor (as required) for designated pharmacy staff.
- Assist with medicines procurement.
- Assist with pharmacy stores and distribution services.
- Weekend duties are currently not assigned, but may be expected for bank holiday cover. Some weekend or late-night work may be required in the future.
