We are excited to announce a full-time vacancy for a Band 2 Pharmacy Storekeeper in the Goods In Area of the Pharmacy Department at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. The role involves receiving pharmaceutical deliveries, reconciling orders with delivery notes, recording batch numbers and expiry dates, and relocating medicines to designated storage areas using the Pharmacy computer system. The position also requires transporting palletised goods, with full training provided.
This opportunity is ideal for a motivated, conscientious, and hardworking individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to maintain a high level of accuracy in a busy environment and handle heavy, repetitive loads. Pharmacy services training will be provided.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Main Duties of the Job:
- Oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy store, ensuring timely and accurate receiving, accepting, and redistribution of deliveries in line with standard operating procedures and Good Distribution Practice (GDP).
- Manage the intravenous (IV) bulk fluid store, placing orders through the pharmacy computer system, and handle heavy loads (15-22 kilos) over extended periods.
- Process orders and credits via the pharmacy computer system, coordinating with the Pharmacy Purchasing team to ensure effective goods receipt and credit management.
- Safely decant liquid Nitrogen into dewars.
