Role Summary
As a Pharmacist specializing in Pet Care, you will be the authority on veterinary medicines, ensuring their safe storage, preparation, and supply in compliance with legal standards. You will also serve as the Responsible Pharmacist at our dispensing facility, overseeing various aspects of veterinary pharmaceutical care.

Key Responsibilities
- Veterinary Medicines: Ensure safe preparation and supply, log dispensing errors and near misses, and maintain controlled drugs register.
- Standard Operating Procedures: Implement SOPs to minimize risk, collaborating with key teams (customer service, purchasing, operations, clinical).
- Customer Counseling: Advise on minor animal ailments, medicine side effects, and general animal health.
- Staff Supervision: Train and supervise pharmacy staff, including Suitably Qualified Persons.
- Business Objectives: Support strategic goals, maximize business potential, and meet set targets.
- Veterinary Liaison: Verify prescriptions with veterinary surgeons to ensure accuracy and legitimacy.
- Medicine Management: Oversee ordering, storage, and dispatch to ensure safety and reduce waste.
- Professional Development: Stay updated with veterinary pharmacy practices and new drugs.
- Record Keeping: Maintain computerized records in line with data protection principles.
- Communication: Ensure prescription queries are communicated to customer service within SLA for patient safety.

- Qualifications: GPhC registered with a Pharmacy degree.
- e-Commerce Understanding: Knowledge of e-Commerce principles and ability to implement business goals.
