Summary Job Advert: Join our team as a Pharmacy Counter Assistant and play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operations of our Outpatient Pharmacy. We are looking for individuals who are committed to excellence and eager to make a difference to patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff under the guidance of the pharmacy manager to efficiently manage retail medicines and products, ensuring timely ordering and effective inventory management.
- Identify potential issues in medication administration, such as medicine interactions, newly prescribed drugs, and factors affecting patient compliance, contributing to the enhancement of patient safety.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a high-quality outpatient service, prioritising patient satisfaction and well-being.
- Safely and accurately issue prescriptions to patients after dispensing, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Provide knowledgeable advice to patients regarding medication usage and general health, within own competence, referring to a pharmacist when necessary.
- Receive and give out completed prescriptions under the guidance of the Responsible pharmacist, providing feedback to the pharmacist on information provided or requested by patients.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for retail products, contributing to the preservation of product integrity and quality.
